Jaigarh Fort is located on the promontory referred to as the Cheel ka Teela (Hill of Eagles) of the Aravalli vary; it overlooks the Amer Fort and the Maota Lake, close to Amer in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.
The fort was constructed by Jai Singh II in 1726 to guard the Amer Fort and its palace complicated and was named after him.
